Jeannie Mai is Now Requesting a Delay or Stop in the Enforcement of a Prenup Agreement She Had With Here Ex Jeezy

Just after getting married on March 27, 2021, the lovely couple Jeannie Mai and Jeezy searched for a baby through an IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) and were blessed with baby Monaco Mai Jenkins. Monaco came into the family on the 11th of January, 2022.

Unfortunately, the once promising marriage has not been stable, with the couple trying to get the other to submit to the prenup agreement they had placed before marriage. This has occurred on different occasions. They also find it challenging to agree upon a schedule suitable for them to spend time with Monaco while they solve their marriage issues.

Jeezy is requesting the enforcement of the prenup, citing that their marriage is broken. In September 2023, Jeezy requested a divorce from Jeannie, claiming his marriage with Jeannie Mai was “irretrievably broken.”

Before filing for the divorce and the enforcement of the prenup, Jeezy added that the two lived in a “bona fide state of separation.” However, Jeannie Mai is currently against the enforcement of the prenup. Yet, she had once before requested for the implementation of the prenup for her to get compensated after she claimed Jeezy had cheated.

So, Why is Jeannie Mai Against the Enforcement of the Prenup Contract?

Court documents show that Jeannie Mai claims the prenup was prepared in a hurry, just five days before their official marriage. So, Mai says she did not have enough time to review it. She further states that Jeezy did not provide full disclosure about his finances.

Jeannie Mai said Jeezy did not provide “comprehensive supporting financial documents.” Rather, Jeezy provided a general overview and approximations of his financial status, including his assets and liabilities.

So, Jeannie Mai has asked the court to delay the execution of the prenuptial agreement to give her legal team a chance to review the agreement thoroughly. Funny enough, Mai forgets she, at some point, required that the court go ahead and enforce the prenup on Jeezy when she accused him of infidelity.

How About Jeannie Mai’s Previous Request for the Enforcement of the Prenup?

In December 2023, two months after Jeezy put up a request for a divorce, Jeannie Mai asked the court to proceed with implementing the same prenup she is now denying. She revealed a section of the prenup stating:

“Either party that engages in sexual relations, an emotional relationship, or is emotionally or sexually suggestive in communication with a third party via all forms of electronic communication, including but not limited to texting, sexting, Facetiming, social media and/or Direct Messages, shall result in a significant financial penalty upon the adulterous party as specified in said Prenuptial Agreement.”

By revealing these details, she hoped to sway the law to punish Jeezy for claims of having cheated while they were married. However, this did not go through because Jeezy denied all accusations against him. The couple has yet to confirm what the courts say regarding Jeannie Mai’s request.
