Dwyane Wade’s 42nd birthday was a blast, with the Wife and friends attending to show their support and love. In attendance were celebrities including Rick Ross and Udonis Haslem, Dwyane’s former Miami Heat friend and teammate.
Gabriella Union, Dwyane Wade’s 51-year-old wife could not keep the news to herself. She took photos of Dwyane Wade dancing with Kaavia, his five-year-old daughter, and those of him blowing the candles and posted them on Instagram.
The caption read, “We’re so blessed to spend year after year with you @dwyanewade,”
Not only did Kaavia dance with her father, but she also had the chance to serenade him. She sang a beautiful “Happy Birthday” melody for her dad alongside the other attendees. In response, Dwyane Wade showed his love by kissing the little one, making everyone applaud.
Dwyane Wade did not also let the day pass without posting on Instagram. His Instagram Stories highlighted a moment with Kaavia coupled with a sweet caption, “Get you a dad that stops and get you some ice cream at 2 a.m.” This was tagged alongside a video of Kaavia enjoying dessert.
Besides Rick Ross and Dwyane Wade’s friend, the other people in attendance were Zaire and his sister, Tragil Wade. Zaire and Tragil are Wade’s eldest children with ex-wife, Siovaughn Funches. Family and friends enjoyed the celebrations without any issues. And this was evident from another one of Wade’s Instagram uploads captioned:
“Celebrated my Jackie Robinson year in Miami with family and friends! Year 42,”
Udonis Haslem’s Speech
Even though Udonis Haslem was around town aiming to relinquish his jersey to the Miami Heat organization to be retired, he could not miss Dwyane Wade’s 42nd birthday celebrations. They had been friends and teammates for as long as he could remember. In respect of their friendship, Udonis Haslem had this to say during his turn to say a word:
“He has not wasted a second of his 42 years. And that’s inspiring to me. I know I’m older and younger, but you inspire me. You have not wasted a second. You showed me what it means to be your best version. You showed me what it means to believe in yourself. You always believed in yourself, and I thought you were f—- crazy.”
Haslem was sincere in his words citing Wade’s impact on him. The way Wade handled things was an inspiration to him and he appreciated him for teaching him various lessons despite Wade being younger than him.
